Chaplaincy Services
Because spirituality is a vital part of human life, spiritual care is an integral part of Wuesthoff Hospice & Palliative Care. When facing a death -- their own or that of a loved one -- most people begin to seriously examine the meaning of life and death. These questions are, at their core, spiritual questions.
Our chaplains work closely with community clergy, congregations and religious organizations to ensure that the unique spiritual needs of each individual Hospice patient and family are met.
Spiritual support usually involves issues of preparing for death and the afterlife, dealing with anger about the illness and why it happened, helping patients and their loved ones cope with their situation, and providing a sense of comfort and security at a difficult time.
Chaplaincy services at Wuesthoff Hospice & Palliative Care include:
- Pastoral Counseling
- Spiritual Direction
- Crisis Intervention
